What better way to make a difference in you and your family lives than by becoming a host family?

For the past ten years American Homestay International had been matching thousands of students with families giving each of them a memorable experience. Whether students come here to study English,live in the southern California area, or simply wishing to study abroad, you will welcome a student representing their homeland into your home.

Hosting a student is a give and take experience. The student pays for their accommodation with your family in exchange for a room, share or private bathroom, and at least two meals a day. The rent they pay to the host family depends on their length of stay and meals that are provided to them. Payment usually ranges from $650 to &700 per month. Again, it depends on the length of stay.

The rest of your experience with you and the student is in the family’s hands. Some families love to provide the student with different activities that are included with their families. Some host families have even included their students on family vacations. Each situation is different and it up to you as far as what kind of experience you seek while hosting the student. Hosting a student is a unique way to gain new cultural incite into your family, and developing friendship with the world by never having to leave your home.
